A living library for now, for the future, for all of us.
The State Library of NSW is one of the great libraries of the world, with a history dating back to 1826. Everyone is welcome at the Library – our inspiring spaces, rich collections, galleries, and programs are open to all.
With an extensive collection of over six million items, the State Library of NSW aims to collect, preserve and make accessible the documentary heritage of NSW. The Library is committed to connecting teachers and students across Australia with our unique resources and collections. We provide a range of online programs which inspire engagement, creativity, and intellectual growth.
